Robert Doisneau

My infatuation with Paris has become common knowledge around my office, and this morning a very thoughtful co-worker brought me a book about the life and work of Robert Doisneau, and what a gem it is!

Doisneau, a pioneer in the field of photojournalism, spent the majority of his career photographing people in the streets of the most magnificent city in the world, Paris.

When asked about his style of work, Doisneau responded:

"I don't photograph life as it is, but life as I would like it to be."
